Morning thunderstorms across Cochise County

TUCSON - The thunder's rolling early this morning east of Tucson.

According to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish, a line of showers and storms over the Sulphur Springs Valley will continue moving north-northeast over the next few hours. Places like Pearce-Sunsites, McNeal, Bisbee and Naco can expect occasional lightning strikes & up to a quarter-inch of rainfall.

Later this afternoon, scattered thunderstorms are expected east of a Phoenix-Sells line. Morning cloud cover will play a big role in storm development today. If clouds break some, it could be an active afternoon across southeastern Arizona.

A few storms today will be capable of hail, damaging winds & torrential rainfall.
