TUCSON - You may be dodging rain drops this morning on the north side of the Tucson metro.
According to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish, our live interactive weather map is detecting a cluster of showers and thunderstorms over Marana, Oracle Junction, the Catalinas and Tortolita Mountains. This activity is pushing west at 10 mph, with rainfall up to a quarter-inch possible.
A chance of isolated valley/scattered mountain storms is expected after the noon hour today for southern Arizona. Storms will be slow-movers, which may lead to flash flooding in a few spots. Models are hinting that the prime time for thunderstorms in Tucson will be 1-4 PM.
