TUCSON - It's another hot day of weather across Southern Arizona with high temperatures climbing well into the 100 to 105 range for the warmest deserts. Skies are mostly sunny and the breezes have picked-up during the afternoon hours.
There is plenty of moisture and isolated thunderstorms have developed south of the border. These storms will continue to move away from our region.
A storm system to the north will keep the monsoon moisture well to the south through the weekend and breezy afternoons are in the forecast for Thursday and Friday. Highs will remain above triple digits through the weekend and into early next week.
There is increasing confidence that an area of high pressure will move into the Four Corners by the middle of next week, a favorable position to help steer deeper moisture to our area. If this set-up occurs, we could be looking at much better storm chances by the middle of next week.
