SIERRA VISTA - The Monument Fire has again jumped Highway 92, this time near Stump Canyon.
Cochise County Sheriff's Office confirms the Monument Fire crossed Highway 92 at mile post 332, and is now burning on the east side of Highway 92.

Highway 92 is closed at Hereford Road on the north, and Coronado Memorial on the south.
The following roads are also closed to allow for the quick access of air support units gathering water:

Avenida Saracino, South San Pedro and Ramsey, and Loma and Highway 92. (all of these roads are east of Highway 92) Forest Service security personnel are enroute to assist with the site security and road closures.

Cochise County Sheriff's officials are reporting that some Three Canyons residents are returning home against the evacuation order. Law enforcement personnel are currently going through the area again to enforce the mandatory evacuation, and to enforce the road closure at Rio Santiago and Three Canyons.
