PHOENIX (AP) - A monsoon storm is causing delays of more than an hour for incoming and departing flights at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
Meanwhile, Arizona Public Service workers are trying to restore electricity to 2,400 customers Tuesday night after the storm knocked out power in some areas of Tempe.
There also are reports of some downed trees and light poles in Tempe.
The storm dumped up to 1 ½ inches of rain in Mesa and 2 inches of rain on parts of northwest Tucson.
It caused flash flooding in Saguaro National Park's Tucson Mountain (West) District, forcing the closure of some dirt roads.
The National Weather Service says a flash flood watch will be in effect for the Phoenix area and much of south-central and southwestern Arizona from through Wednesday morning.
