MONSOON RETURNS TO SOUTHERN ARIZONA
TUCSON-
Showers and storms have returned to Southern Arizona this afternoon as the monsoon makes a return visit from Mexico. The dew points have gone up and we now have saturated the mid and lower levels of the atmosphere. We also have a weather system in Mexico sliding through Southern Arizona and this will bring the best chance of showers and storms later this evening and into tomorrow morning.
The storms today will produce heavy downpours and gusty winds in a few places, with .25" to 1.00" of rain possible in those storms. The Monsoon will hang around all week with the best chance of rain in the next 24 hrs and later this week.
