TUCSON - The monsoon closed roads and confused drivers Wednesday.
"All the roads are just blocked off," Jeff Darden said, "but a lot of stuff is not that deep, but they just have everything blocked off."
La Cholla Boulevard was closed in several places between the Canada Del Oro Wash and Tangerine Road.
"It's fun," Jayson Hunter said. "Tucson doesn't see much of it, so when you see it, you want to get out."
Hunter was confident his truck could make it through most of the washes.
"That's easy," Hunter said. "It's heavy enough. It'll get through that."
Some vehicles did not make it through the running water.
Gustavo Jimenez said his son got his truck stuck on the Southwest Side.
"I get a call telling me the truck got stuck," Jimenez said, "so I'm here pulling it out."
The water swept away another truck in the Black Wash Floodway near Casino Del Sol.
Oro Valley driver Mike Jones said he does not take those kinds of risks.
"If I have to spend the night away from my home, it'll be a problem," Jones said, "but not for the next hour or so."
