TUCSON - Got outdoor plans this weekend? Mother Nature's dialed up a dandy forecast.
Dry air slowly works in from the west, limiting isolated storms to Santa Cruz and Cochise Counties today. News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish can't rule out a stray shower in Tucson, but chances are very slim to wrap up the work week.
Highs today reach the low 90's across the metro, running 4-6° below average for late August.
Monsoon moisture heads out of the state this weekend, with the mountains seeing the only chance for an isolated storm Saturday. The international border in Cochise County might see a few storms pop up Sunday, but most of southern Arizona remains dry.
The new work week features a return of isolated storms to the lower elevations, but no significant uptick is anticipated at this point.
