TUCSON - Ample moisture in place combined with a disturbance moving into the region will make for an active period of weather today and Tuesday.
Scattered to numerous storms are in the forecast through Wednesday. Heavy rain, damaging wind, and flooding are the primary threats with the strongest storms.
It's been a relatively quiet period of weather over the past week so the rain is welcome for many areas.
Temperatures will be a few degrees below average for the first half of the week, topping off only into the low to mid 90s.
Fewer storms are in the forecast as we head into the second half of the week and into the weekend.
