Monsoon 2013 looking loud for Labor Day

TUCSON - Mother Nature not taking the holiday off.

A mid-level disturbance responsible for this morning's rain will fire off another round of scattered storms this afternoon, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Favored areas for storms will be along and west of an Oracle-Sierra Vista line. Storms may produce locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds.

Prime time for metro storms appears to be 2-6 PM as high temps reach the 100's.

Drier air works in from the east, decreasing the thunder threat to the isolated variety tomorrow through the weekend. High temps the next several days peak in the triple digits.
