TUCSON - Tropical moisture continues to stream into Southern Arizona keeping storms chances elevated.
Moisture surging up from the Gulf of California will keep showers and storms around the region right on through the overnight hours. The storms that do develop will be capable of heavy rain which may lead to some flooding issues.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain in the forecast to wrap up the weekend. The heaviest rain will remain west of the Tucson metro where a Flash Flood Watch is currently in effect until 5pm Sunday evening.
An active monsoon pattern stays in place through the upcoming week with at least a daily shot of isolated storms. Stay with News 4 Tucson on-air and on-line for further Monsoon Storm Alert updates. Track the storms with our Interactive Radar & get severe weather alerts on your phone by texting "MONSOON" to 95990.
