TUCSON - Drivers should avoid South Mission Road between 2800 South Mission and West 36th Street for the next several hours.
Tucson Police say a gas line was struck in the area. The north and soundbound lanes are closed off while crews work to fix the issue.
Both Tucson Police and Tucson Fire personnel are in the area to ensure the safety of all residents.
Captain Barrett Baker tells News 4 Tucson that at least one house has been evacuated.
Right now, there's no estimate for when the road will re-open to traffic.
