PHOENIX (AP) - The father of a young American man from Arizona who went missing in Germany two weeks ago says police have recovered Devon Hollahan's backpack but still have no evidence to explain his disappearance.

Jeff Hollahan of Scottsdale, Ariz., said on Friday that German police told him a security guard found his son's pack on Nov. 21, the same day Devon Hollahan disappeared after a concert in Frankfort.

A friend who was traveling with the 22-year-old said they became separated on a street corner after asking for directions to a youth hostel.

Jeff Hollahan has been in Germany trying to find out what happened to his son.

Devon Hollahan is a University of Arizona graduate who had been teaching English in Prague since July.
