TUCSON - An afternoon storm roared through the heart of midtown Tucson today, crippling traffic and flooding many local roadways.
Close to an inch of rain fell in many spots, such as the U of A, and along Grant Road from Country Club Road to Swan Road.
Sierra Vista also received plenty of rain as the latest area of low pressure combined with ample moisture from Hurricane Marie to form today's storms.
Much quieter weather can be expected for the remainder of the work-week and into the weekend.
Temperatures will also begin to climb back to seasonal averages which is in the upper 90s for the end of August.
