MICHIGAN - US Border Patrol agent Brian Terry, who was killed in the line of duty in 2010, was honored Thursday in Michigan.
Brian Terry was gunned down by drug smugglers south of Tucson in 2010.
Here's a look at the boat:
It was later discovered Terry was killed by drug cartel members carrying weapons from Operation Fast and Furious.
This new boat named in Terry's honor will patrol the Detroit River which is a gateway for illegal drug smuggling from Canada.
Terry's mother was on hand for today's naming ceremony and said her son would be proud.
"Like he used to say: Go big or go home," she said. "He's got himself a boat now."
According to his mom, the vessel will patrol the waters of Michigan where Brian grew up.
