NOGALES, Ariz. (AP) - A Mexican man wanted in Nevada on drug trafficking charges has been arrested in southern Arizona.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say 35-year-old Javier Garcia Rodriguez, of Sinaloa, was arrested Sunday at the Dennis DeConcini Port.

Officers conducting outbound operations removed Rodriguez from a commercial bus heading into Mexico for additional questioning.

After a routine records check revealed the warrant from Las Vegas, CBP officers arrested Rodriguez and contacted the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Department to take custody of him.

Details of Rodriguez's case in Nevada weren't immediately available Monday and authorities didn't know whether he has a lawyer yet.
