TUCSON - Old Pueblo Community Services is partnering with local Men's Wearhouse stores this month to help low-income Tucson men "suit up" for success.
Throughout September, Men's Wearhouse is holding its third annual National Suit Drive. Stores around the country are collecting used business attire, including men's and women's suits, shirts, jackets, slacks, and ties, to donate to local nonprofits, such as Old Pueblo Community Services, which works to support those in transition.
Each year Old Pueblo Community Services provides the tools for hundreds of homeless Tucsonans to transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
"We are thrilled to partner with Men's Wearhouse on this critical effort," said René Myers, Director of Development for Old Pueblo Community Services. "Many of our residents have recently been released from incarceration with only what they were clothed in at the time, and are struggling to get back on their feet; National Suit Drive will empower these men with the self-confidence that comes from looking sharp."
The National Suit Drive is Men's Wearhouse's largest yearly philanthropic event. This year, the company hopes to collect more than 100,000 articles of clothing in the month of September. For every suit the company collects, it will donate one dress shirt to the cause. It will also thank donors with a 25 percent off discount on their next purchase at Men's Wearhouse.
To make a donation, visit the Men's Warehouse locations inside the Tucson Mall, 4500 N. Oracle #417, or inside the Park Place Mall, 5870 E Broadway Blvd. #107.
