TONOPAH, Ariz.- Three people have been rescued from a mountain near Tonopah after being stuck there overnight.
The Arizona Republic reports the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office assisted one man and two women once it was daylight Sunday.
Authorities say the Sheriff's Office was called Saturday around 11 p.m. to the mountain near Salome Highway and Courthouse Road near Tonopah, about 50 miles west of Phoenix.
Sheriff's spokesman Chris Hegstrom says the trio, dressed in light clothing, had become trapped on a ledge.
Hegstrom says because it was too dark for rescue crews to reach them, officers stayed with them throughout the night.
None of the hikers suffered any injuries.
