TUCSON - Gabby Giffords will return to work in Southern Arizona, according to her husband Mark Kelly.
"She still continues to recover at a fairly good rate," Kelly said, "and I don't think there's any end in sight."
Kelly admits the process is slow.
"To be honest, I don't notice a change in her every single day," Kelly said, "but I do know, if I think about how she was a month ago, or two months ago, I can see that Gabby continues to improve."
Her former district director, Ron Barber, says he also noticed her improvement since he last saw her in February.
"She is a woman of great determination, and she works hard at everything she's ever done," Barber said. "I see a constant improvement. I think she's getting better all the time."
She might not pursue elected office, but will get back to public service, according to Kelly.
"She'll get back here to Tucson full time," Kelly said. "She hopes one day to get back to work."
Giffords and her husband have been in town supporting Ron Barber's campaign for Congress.
