TUCSON - Today on News 4 at 4, Chad Fife, a District Manager for Fry's Food Stores, stopped by to talk about the "March for Babies," being held this weekend.
His Tucson stores have raised over $80,000 to support the event on April 29. The March for Babies helps raised money to reduce the number of babies born premature.
. It takes expensive research, prevention programs and education to lessen the number of premature births. In Arizona, right now, one in eight babies are born premature. The resulting neonatal intensive care bills can easily top $500,000.
At last year's "March for Babies," 1,800 walkers participated, and almost $295,000 was raised. This year, the March of Dimes is hoping for more. If you'd like to learn more, click here:
