TUCSON- A Tucson man was arrested Wednesday morning after police say he stole beer from a south side Circle K when an Tucson Police officer was inside.
According to Tucson Police Sergeant Chris Widmer, Elijah Miranda, 24, walked into the Circle K located at 3301 South 6th Avenue around 4:40 a.m. and took beer from the store.
A clerk alerted the officer who was in the store on an unrelated call.
The officer saw Miranda get in a vehicle and leave the premise, Widmer said.
Miranda was pulled over a short time later and admitted to stealing the beer.
According to Widmer, Miranda has seven previous convictions for shoplifting and was charged with aggravated shoplifting in the latest theft case due to the prior convictions.
