TUCSON - Tucson police shot and killed a man on the Southeast Side Thursday evening, according to TPD Sgt. Chris Widmer.
Officers got a call about suspicious activity in a neighborhood near Stella and Pantano Roads around 6 p.m.
When the 2 responding officers found the suspect, he did not cooperate. He fought police and at least 1 officer shot him, according to Widmer.
He was taken to the hospital and died later, according to Widmer.
No officers were seriously hurt.
The officer who shot the man will be placed on administrative leave, which is standard procedure.
