Man shot and killed by officer after TPD responds to armed robbery call

TUCSON - One man is dead after Tucson Police responded to a report of armed robbery in midtown and an officer shot a suspect.

Tucson Police responded to 1st and Roger for report of armed robbery. After police arrived, a suspect apparently pointed a gun at several people, according officials on the scene.

Police caught up with the suspect at Water Street Station, south of Roger Rd on 1st Ave.

Tucson Police have not released the circumstances that led to the shooting of the suspect.

The suspect was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Tucson Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male.
