PHOENIX (AP) - A man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the dragging death of a Glendale girl last year.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 19-year-old Lino Chavez entered his plea in the case Wednesday. His mitigation hearing and sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 7.

Chavez and another man were arrested in the April 2011 death of 16-year-old Anita Munoz (MOON'-yohz), a student at a suburban Phoenix high school.

Police believe Chavez and the other man robbed Munoz of her laptop.

After struggling with the girl, detectives say the suspects tried to drive away and Munoz either fell or was pushed from a vehicle in Glendale.
