AVRA VALLEY - Around 4:30 Saturday morning, the Pima County Sheriff's office received a call from Border Patrol who saw a truck with its lights out turning into the Ironwood National Forest.

"They drove approximately one hundred yards in they heard what they believe as a gunshot and then saw fire originating from the area," said Pima County Sheriff's Deputy Jason Ogan. Officials said the vehicle then took off at high speed down the reservation area.

Agents tried following it, but eventually lost sight of it.

"Our homicide unit responded to the scene and there they discovered a deceased male with burns all over his body, said Ogan.

Officials said the body was found right near a power pole.

The Pima County Sheriff's Office said an autopsy will be performed on the body while they continue the investigation.
