PICACHO PEAK, Ariz. (AP) - The Arizona Department of Public Safety says a 32-year-old man was killed when he fell from a pickup truck bed and was struck by several vehicles on Interstate 10 in southern Arizona.
Westbound lanes of I-10 were closed near Picacho Peak for about seven hours after the Wednesday night accident. The lanes were reopened Thursday morning.
The DPS says the man fell from the pickup after a collision with another vehicle and that he was run over by several vehicles.
DPS spokesman Raul Garcia told KPHO-TV that the truck was found at the junction of I-10 and Interstate 8 and that the driver was taken into custody.
No identities were released immediately.
