MESA (AP) - Authorities say a man is dead after falling three stories from a Mesa parking garage following an altercation with another homeless man.

Mesa police say the victim was pronounced dead early Monday. His name hasn't been released yet.

Police say he was on top of a parking garage and was fighting with another man and wound up hanging off the edge of the building by his hands before falling.

He was taken to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center and later died from multiple injuries.

Police say they have questioned the other homeless man involved, but he hasn't been charged at this time.

Authorities say it's still unclear what the altercation was about or whether weapons or drugs were involved.
