TUCSON - Two schools have had their lockdowns lifted after a man threatened to use his gun, police said.
Administrators at Wakefield Middle School and Hollinger Elementary locked their campuses down after the 61-year-old threatened to come back with his rifle, police said.
Tucson Police say the man and his wife were walking their granddaughter to Hollinger Elementary School Friday morning, when the wife said she needed to talk to school administrators about something important.
Police say the man took off at that point.
The Tucson Unified School District locked down Hollinger and Wakefield in the morning, but the lockdown at both schools have been lifted.
All the students are safe.
Police responded to the man's home in the 3500 block of S. 8th avenue and found him there.
