Man arrested on suspicion of 3 robberies in Ariz.

PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a fingerprint left on a money-demand note has led to the arrest of suspected bank robber in Peoria.

Peoria police said Tuesday that 31-year-old Rafael Ray Williams is being held on suspicion of three counts of armed robbery.

Authorities say he's also admitted of trying to rob a Tempe bank on June 21 and a Mesa convenience store the following day.

Police say a man entered an unidentified Peoria bank on June 21 and handed a teller a note demanding money and indicted that he had a gun.

The teller denied the man's request and the suspect left without any money.

A police crime scene technician was able to process the demand note and identify Williams' fingerprint.

Police tracked Williams to Flagstaff and arrested him on June 24.
