TUCSON - An arrest has been made in connection with an explosive device found at 720 West Silverlake Road Tuesday morning.
Tucson Police responded to the Silverbell Inn after a man turned in a suspicious device that he found near an area bus stop.
Officers evacuated the area and shut down nearby streets after finding several devices.
Tucson Police's bomb squad responded to the scene.
They examined the devices and determined the objects were improvised explosive devices.
The objects were moved to another location for further investigation.
Detectives worked throughout the night and were able to identify the suspect as 30-year-old Scott Johnson.
Johnson was located later that night by patrol officers near Grant Road and Stone Avenue.
He was arrested and booked into the Pima County jail for 6 counts of Misconduct Involving Weapons.
