Magee Middle School evacuated due to threat

TUCSON - Magee Middle School is on hard lock down after an anonymous threat against the school Tuesday afternoon.

There are no injuries and all students are safe, according to Tucson Unified School District spokeswoman Cara Rene.

Tucson Police and TUSD school safety officers are conducting a precautionary classroom by classroom walk through of the school, Rene said.

Evacuated students from Magee Middle School will get normal transportation after school. Parents may pick up their children at Sahuaro High School at normal dismissal time of 3 p.m.

Parents should not attempt to pick up children prior.

TPD is evacuating the school classroom by classroom as a precaution.

Parents may also call TUSD's Secondary Leadership office at 225-6422 with questions.
