Two local middle school students, honored for fighting back against bullies. Levi Fallvollita and Gabe Villa wrote a book called, "The Good, The Bad and The Bullies." Monday morning the Pima County Board of Supervisors recognized the pair with a special proclamation.
Both boys say they never expected the book to become so popular, but now that it has they are hoping to get it in every public and school library.
District Four Supervisor Ray Carroll shared some words of praise Monday morning for the author and illustrator of "The Good, The Bad and the Bullies." Fallavollita and Villa created the book based on their own experiences with school bullies and the goal was simple, give hope to other students who may be going through the same thing.
"A lot of people are buying the book and a lot of people are telling me their experiences, so it feels good that I'm helping," Fallavollita, the book's author, said.
"Tell an adult and make sure that you let people know what you're going through," said Villa, who illustrated the book.
At their last book signing the duo sold 100 copies. Their success also inspired the supervisors to declare August 20 "Anti-Bullying Day."
