TUCSON - Live updates from News 4's Danielle Todesco inside the TUSD meeting on Ethnic Studies:
10:15pm: TUSD meeting has ended for tonight, no decision on Ethnic Studies. The board will organized community forums to get more input from parents and students.
9:39pm: Audio issues; resolved the meeting has resumed, board members are asking for order from the crowd.
9:32pm: The meeting as been recessed due to audio issues, it is expected to resume.
9:28pm: TPD officers tell us people have been arrested at the meeting, but no numbers on how many.
8:58pm: Board members are having to ask the crowd to quiet down so speakers can continue. Audience members are interrupting the speaker.

7:50: The meeting has been able to resume.
7:45pm: 7 people have been escorted out of the TUSD meeting on Ethnic Studies. She says there are huge crowds chanting outside. She says the board has tried to reconvene the meeting, but every time they start another person from the crowd stands up and starts reading a statement, then is escorted out.
7:35pm: TUSD once again had to halt it's meeting on Ethnic Studies because of protests. Our crew inside the meeting says, the board had to recess because of protests. More to come...
6:21pm: Oh, and they also cancelled the meeting scheduled this Thursday at Catalina H.S. The crowd was angry about that, because I think it was supposed to be a 2 hr forum on ethnic studies. It passed 3 to 2 to cancel it...with Burns and Grijalva against.
6:19 pm - We are still in the meeting. They are still on the slides of ethnic studies funding. They have not gotten to the call to the audience yet, was scheduled for 6.
News 4's Danielle Todesco is in the TUSD board meeting to determine the future of the Ethnic Studies program. Last week's meeting was cancelled after students stormed the meeting and chained themselves to the board members' chairs in protest.
Today, protesters took up signs and picketed outside the meeting, but security has been tight, with officers and K-9 units posted around the block.
