TUCSON - Today on "Let's Make a Meal," David Matias from Mosaic Café stopped by to make steak fajitas! Here's the recipe:
Steak Fajita Tacos
6-8 oz flap meat, sliced thinly
3 oz green bell pepper, julienned
3 oz yellow bell pepper, julienned
3 oz red bell pepper, julienned
3 oz red onion, julienned
1/4 tsp Garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Pinch of oregano
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Heat the olive oil in a sauté pan over hi heat. Add flap meat and seasonings and sear meat for about 3-4 minutes, stirring to caramelize all sides. Then add the peppers and the onions and allow to cook for an additional 3-4 minutes (do not over cook the peppers). Lastly add the Worcestershire sauce and serve.
Serve over small fresh homemade corn or flour tortillas. Garnish with cabbage, pico de gallo, guacamole and lime wedges.
