TUCSON - Much lighter winds and more sunshine heading into your Thursday afternoon.
The cold front that really kicked up the winds is making its exit and leaving behind some cool air this morning. After waking up in the mid to upper 40s Tucson will once again top out with a daytime high near 70° under sunny skies.
Clear, calm and dry conditions will bring the first freeze for many locations in nearly three weeks. The low lying areas mainly south and east of Tucson are under a Freeze Warning from 1am to 8am Friday morning. Tucson should stay in upper 30s and low 40s early Friday morning.
A secondary system will move through the region as we head into the weekend keeping temperatures in check but the afternoon breeze will return by Saturday. This system will also have the cloud cover on the increase for Friday and Saturday but temperatures should stay in the mid 70s.
A big warm up is in store next week as we push the 90° mark for the first time this year. Check out your True View 4 extended forecast here.
