TUCSON - Warm up continues with mid 90s forecast this afternoon.
High pressure nudging into the west coast will keep the temperatures climbing today with a high near 95. According to Meteorologist John Patrick, daytime highs will remain about ten degrees above average through the middle of the upcoming work week.
A weather disturbance will offer up a short cool down as it digs into the region from the north. Temperatures will drop closer to normal for early May with highs back into the upper 80s for Thursday and Friday. Breezy conditions will accompany this system possibly leading to a high fire danger late this week.
