TUCSON - A Tucson family forced out of their home after a fire Sunday night could be receiving some holiday generosity.
The fire that tore through the home on Sunday destroyed the home, with Christmas gifts inside, but not their holiday spirit.
A KVOA viewer saw the story which originally aired on Christmas Eve about the family with two kids who lost everything in the flames. Suzan Lamberson was compelled to give back, offering them her empty apartment to stay in temporarily.
"I just would hope that somebody else would do the same thing for me. We can all be in that position and there are lots of people good people out there," said Lamberson, who offered up her fully furnished apartment to the family.
"That's the way it really should be, because that's what the country is about," Lamberson said. "We help one another."
Angela Valdez who babysits the kids said the family is currently staying in a hotel courtesy of the red cross but have spoken to Lamberson on the phone. They plan to visit the apartment tomorrow to possibly take Lamberson up on her offer.
