Kristi will help the city kick off Summer Splash 2012 live tonight

TUCSON - News 4 Tucson's Kristi Tedesco will be broadcasting live today to help the Tucson Parks and Recreation Department kick off Summer Splash 2012 - six city pools are opening today for the eight week Summer Splash program!

As part of the city's Summer Splash program, there will be a free raffle for a two-night Family Staycation at the Omni Tucson National Resort at each of the six pools opening today.

The pools opening today are: Jacobs Pool - 1010 W. Lind St., Palo Verde Pool - 300 S. Mann Ave., Purple Heart Pool - 10050 E. Rita Rd., Mansfield Pool - 2000 N. 4th Ave., and Himmel Pool - 1000 N. Tucson Blvd. Click here for full information on all 16 city pools.

It's all about keeping kids safe this summer, so News 4 Tucson Lifesavers is teaming up with the City of Tucson and the American Red Cross to get the word out about the variety of swimming, pool safety and lifeguard training classes available this summer.
