Kristi's Kids Lifesaver: Teen saves little girl's life

TUCSON - Joshua Erwin was at a family function in late May when he heard screaming coming from one of the family members in the backyard.

Erwin ran to see what was going on and saw a 3-year-old girl lying on the ground, blue in the face and not moving.

He began to do CPR and after almost a full cycle of compressions, her eyes opened and she came back to life. She screamed and spit out water from her lungs.

He said he attributes his quick response to the training he received at the Golder Ranch Fire District training facilty.

Erwin is an explorer in the Oro Valley Police Department and both his trainer and mother are very proud of his quick thinking. He recommends all adults learn CPR and get their kids swim lessons as soon as they can walk, to view the FULL story click on the video above.
