Krispy Kreme opens third Tucson store

TUCSON, ARIZ. (Dec. 18, 2009) – Krispy Kreme fans will have another reason to celebrate this festive season, since a third Tucson, Ariz. location opened its doors today, Friday, Dec. 18 at 5775 E. Broadway Blvd. The new neighborhood store is being run by franchise partner Dan Brinton (aka “Doughnut Dan”), who already owns two successful Tucson locations.

“Tucsonans have embraced the return of Krispy Kreme, and I am very excited to expand our reach,” said Doughnut Dan.

The store opens just in time for shoppers looking for the perfect stocking stuffer or gift for a co-worker, neighbor or friend. Krispy Kreme is selling limited edition holiday gift cards good for five dozen doughnuts – a value of approximately $40 – for $25.

The Broadway store is Doughnut Dan’s tenth Arizona Krispy Kreme, which includes eight neighborhood and two factory stores. It will be open seven days a week from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The menu offers15 varieties of doughnuts, including Krispy Kreme’s signature Original Glazed doughnut. The store also carries Krispy Kreme’s Signature Coffee line that features two drip coffees for only $.25 – Rich and Robust Decaf – all made from high-quality coffee beans. The store will also feature $.99 specialty coffee drinks as well as a variety of Shamrock Farms milk.
