TUCSON - The sounds of the holidays filled the halls at Tucson Police Department's main station this morning as they lit the annual Christmas tree.
The men and women in blue were joined by local elementary students who flipped the switch and lit up the Tucson Police Christmas tree.
The Davis Bilingual Elementary School Mariachi Group performed holiday music and Tucson Police Reserve Officer Hector Reyes preformed a short magic show for the children. Santa also showed up with a special police escort.
TPD officials say this special event is one everyone looks forward to, and a way to bond with the kids in the community.
