CHICAGO, IL - Ka'Deem Carey quickly showed Chicago Bears fans what the Zona Zoo already knows: he has a knack for the endzone. Carey scored his first NFL touchdown on Thursday, a one yard scamper in the fourth quarter against Jacksonville.
Carey rushed 13 times for 36 yards and the late score. He had gains of 10 and 15 yards during the game. Carey is the University of Arizona's all-time leading rusher. He was drafted in the fourth round of the NFL Draft earlier this summer.
Former Arizona Wildcat Lance Briggs had one tackle in limited playing time. The Bears won the game 20-19.
The Bears face the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks on Friday, August 22. They open the regular season Sunday, September 7 against Buffalo.
