PHOENIX (AP) - A state commission meets Wednesday to vote on performance reviews for one Arizona Supreme Court justice and 63 judges serving on lower courts.
The Commission on Judicial Performance Review has surveyed thousands of litigants, witnesses, lawyers and jurors, and the panel's findings will be published in the official voter pamphlet.
The sole Supreme Court justice up for possible retention by voters this year is Chief Justice Rebecca White Berch.
Seven Court of Appeals judges, 48 Maricopa County Superior Court judges and eight Pima County Superior Court judges also are up for possible retention.
All judges up for possible retention were appointed to the bench. Superior Court judges in the other 13 counties are elected.
