TUCSON - TV and movie Star Johnny Knoxville makes a living pulling pranks and stunts, but apparently someone pulled a stunt on him at the University of Arizona last month.
Knoxville tells the Sun newspaper someone put Ecstasy in his drink while on a promotional tour at a UA frat house.
Knoxville was screening his new movie "Bad Grandpa" at a local fraternity last month, but is just now talking to the media about the incident. He did not name the frat house.
"[I] was sitting in the audience with the students and people kept handing me drinks and someone dosed me with Ecstasy," Knoxville told the Sun. "About 30 minutes into the screening, my heart starts racing and I'm like, ‘I am x-ing right now, someone dosed me.'"
Knoxville goes on to say he hurt his hand while drugged, but he's not sure how, "at some point I ruptured the tendon in my finger either busting through a table or climbing up a net."
Knoxville posted pictures to his Twitter account of his time at the the U of A. He's dressed up as his character from the movie drinking from a keg and dunking a basketball.
The actor doesn't seem upset about the incident, he says the crew got some "funny stuff" to promote the movie.
