Jimmy's "Weather Bus" benefit concert

TUCSON - Jimmy Stewart will be hosting a Reverie concert and dinner to support his venture, The Weather Bus.

The event will take place Saturday, Oct. 26, from 5:30 to 7:45 p.m. at the Steward's residence on the northeast side.

Stewart's Weather Bus is a 2000 model 37 ½ foot Bluebird school bus that has been equipped with weather equipment and audio/visual equipment. This bus is interactive and was built as a mobile classroom to teach children the science of weather.

For about 31 years, Stewart has worked as a television meteorologist in the Tucson community and he spent 21 years working at KVOA.

Now he is taking his love for the weather to The Weather Bus. "I wanted an elaborate audio/visual package that I could use to facilitate my weather presentation, and I thought what better vehicle than a school bus" Jimmy Stewart said on his website.

The concert, dinner, dessert and the bus tour will cost $50 per person.
