Flowers were placed today on actor James Garner's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Garner was found dead of natural causes by police officers dispatched to his Los Angeles home on Saturday night. There is no immediate word on a specific cause of his death.
The actor had suffered a stroke in may 2008, just weeks after his 80th birthday.
Garner is best known for his roles in the TV shows "Maverick" and "The Rockford Files."
He was also nominated for an Academy Award in 1985 for best actor in a leading role in "Murphy's Romance". In 2005, he received the Screen Actors Guild's Lifetime Achievement Award.
Garner was 86-years old. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
