TUCSON - Arizona Wildcats Nick Johnson and Aaron Gordon announced Tuesday they'll be declaring for the NBA draft.
It's no surprise freshman forward Gordon is going pro. He's projected to be a top 15 pick in the NBA draft. Junior guard Nick Johnson has a lower draft status as a 6-foot 2-inch shooting guard who struggles from the perimeter.
He's projected to be second round pick. Johnson led Arizona to the Pac-12 regular season title as well as winning the conference Player of the Year award.
Their decision to leave college hoops early came at a press conference at McKale. News 4 Sports Paul Cicala and Richie Melby are gathering the details for the later broadcasts.
