TUCSON - Vacation time is coming to a close for Monsoon 2011.
According to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish, a southeasterly flow aloft is transporting moisture back in to southern Arizona. This afternoon, isolated mountain storms are possible, especially east of the Tucson metro. Lower elevations look to remain dry today, with highs in the triple digits for Tucson.
Valley locales will get in on the thunder threat by Sunday. Ample moisture and enough instability will sustain isolated valley storms tomorrow afternoon and evening. A few storms will be capable of gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall.
Jeff will have a complete look at your weekend forecast tonight on News 4 Tucson at 5:30 and 10.
