TUCSON - Threatening triple digits on the thermometer this weekend.
High pressure over the southwest cranks the mercury toward the 100's, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Tucson reaches 98° this afternoon, with 2014's 1st 100° day likely tomorrow afternoon.
Sunday sees gusty winds up to 20 MPH returning as highs potentially reach 100° again. Mostly sunny skies are anticipated the next several days.
Cooler weather is in store next week, as a low pressure system stalls over southern California. Winds relax by mid-week with daytime highs in the 80's as early as next Thursday.
