NOGALES, Ariz. - Over 32,000 rounds of ammunition was seized from a stash house in south Nogales last Tuesday.
Special agents responded to a house located on Paseo del Sur Street after acting on information they had developed, according to a news release from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Agents discovered a cache of 10,000 7.62-caliber rounds, 8,000 .223-caliber round, 5,000 9mm rounds, 5,000 .38 Super rounds, 3,500 .45-calliber rounds, and 1,000 10mm rounds, the release states.
Agents suspect the bullets were being staged at the home to smuggle into Mexico.
No arrests have yet been made in the case, which remains under investigation.
